Whoa. A massive audience on the first entry - zero. Clearly the word is yet to hit the streets. However, I persist.

Ok, something new to the blog: Stock Tips. I'll list and then review my tips as time goes along. This week's tips include a Blue chip bank, and a few speccies over various industries:
- Barclays: 3.10 a good buy, if you can get it. Current price - 3.12
- Ceres Power: buy for anything under 2.20. Current price - 2.37
- Euro Nickel - current price 17.75.
- African Copper - current price 11.25
- SDI Group - current price 10.5

At present,. I sit here at work on a Monday, a Bank Holiday Monday and I'm bored out of my frickin mind. Unfortunately the Europeans are working today, hence the markets are open, and therefore I'm apparently 'working'. Its so damn quiet, I may as well just put my head down for a little kip. And to top it off, our company is providing us with lunch today (as just about everywhere is closed), and the culinary delight I have to look forward to, is Dominoes Pizza. I've reluctantly gone for the Texas BBQ. I'll be consuming just enough to ward off chronic hunger pains.

I'm currently in debate whether or not to potentially take a sickie later in the year and head to New York with my brother and his girlfriend. As much as I'd like to, a certain amount of work ethic (obvious from the above comments, I'm sure you'll agree) and a conscience about ditching my workmates is making to situation into quite a conundrum. Conundrum - good word that. Its a nice conundrum to have, I must admit. I've been to NYC before, had a great time, and would love to go back, but I'd prefer to do it legitimately, rather than claiming some two-day debilitating stomach bug (potentially due to Dominoes Pizza?), from which I will have made a miraculous recovery. For anyone wanting a must-do restaurant in NYC, go to Kittichai - amazing Thai food in a very funky setting.

Unfortunately my Euromillions numbers didn't come down on Friday night (surprise, surprise), so my imagined plans of cruising the Med, and fanging my Ferrari around the Nurburgring will have to wait. Shame that, I was rather keen on those plans. Actually, if I won it, I reckon I'd buy a new VW Campervan ('California', I think they're called now) and do Europe in as leisurely a manner as I feel like. If you haven't seen the new VW campervans, check them out - the Germans are seriously ingenius with their use of space in those things. Luxury camping. With a luxury price tag, however - £35k. Damn! I just looked up Euromillions and its a jackpot of £70m this Friday. That would make for a good weekend.

The reason I like the sound of the new VW campervan, is that I currently own a 1981 version, and am about to bugger off in it for a week in France. The Loire Valley, to be precise. There will be much cheese, wine and baguette consuming during the trip, but I'm taking my bike and my running shoes, to maintain some sort of healthy parity. Nothing to stressful on the fitness front though. I'm not sure one week is going to be enough - the more I read about the Loire, the more I think I need a month to do it properly. This is where the £70m would come in handy.

An update on my favourite sporting teams: Man U managed to draw their first game of the season against Newcastle last week and have Pompey tonight. Unfortunately we're (and yes, I describe myself as one of the team) short of attacking options at the moment, and the injury list is growing stupidly. They better sign Berbatov, and quick. I'm pretty concerned how Chelsea look with Deco pulling the strings now - he's class. Other sports: the Aussie cricket team is doing nothing at the moment. And the socceroos are plying their trades all over the globe, and will hopefully be able to get their shit together for the WC qualifiers coming up in the next few months.

Ok. That was quite a lengthy entry. Like I said - damn boring at work today. Wonder if I'll get even 1 reader this time...

First Entry...

Ok, this is my first blogging experience. I'll be honest, it may not last, it may just be a passing phase that I'll use to occupy this evening only. And probably far from the whole evening at that. I'm thinking 10-15 minutes, then I'll try to figure out how it actually looks, whether or not anyone else is likely to read it (and with this scintillating start, word will surely spread quickly). Anyway, a bit about me: Australian male, 25-35 years old, living in London, Trader, married. And that's about enough about me for now. I guess the blog will be whatever the heck I want to write about - experiences, work, people I meet, sport (a big passion of mine), relationships and friends. That's a very general, broad topic list I've stated there, but basically I enjoy writing and want a place to write about anything I feel like. I hope that's what blogs are about - and if not, mine will be. Til next time.
